The Communities And Police Partnership (TCAPP) is an initiative to enhance the relationship between communities and police in metro Atlanta.
Following upcoming surveys of metro Atlanta communities, our programs will build on the successes of Community & Problem-Oriented Policing approaches from overseas and right here in Georgia.
Through these efforts, we can better solve and prevent crime, increase confidence in public safety, and benefit both groups through increased dialogue between communities and the law enforcement agencies that serve them.
TCAPP is currently designing surveys to better understand the relationships between communities and police in metro Atlanta. With this, we'll select three to four areas for pilot programs.
These pilot programs will seek to instill and expand Community & Problem-Oriented Policing for both communities and law enforcement via a CPOP concepts course, local & international exchanges, and information sharing.
